It was 2:00 am in Toronto, Canada and 9:00 am in Kenya. We were ready. It was our first time.
Rafiki Bridge was ready.
In a world where adolescents face unique challenges related to sexual health, education, and cultural norms, Rafiki Bridge has been steadfast in its commitment to make a difference. We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our pilot program for adolescent mentorship, aimed at guiding teenage girls on their journey to better sexual and menstrual hygiene. On the auspicious day of August 12th, a transformative event took place, marking a significant milestone in our mission.
The Triumph of Empowerment:
With a clear vision to address the pressing issues surrounding adolescent sexual and menstrual hygiene, our evidence-based program emerged as a guiding light. The challenges of limited access to youth-friendly services, insufficient education, and cultural barriers were met head-on. Through the dedication and passion of the Rafiki Bridge team, both at grassroots and leadership levels, we achieved what once seemed insurmountable.
Celebrating the Success:
The event on August 12th marked a jubilant celebration of achievement and empowerment. Teenage girls gathered to participate in an enriching mentorship experience that covered a wide array of topics, from menstrual hygiene to fostering healthy relationships. The atmosphere was one of camaraderie, curiosity, and the shared anticipation of a brighter future.
Rafiki Bridge's Dedication:
The success of this event is a testament to the tireless efforts of the Rafiki Bridge team, both in planning and execution. Every detail was meticulously arranged to ensure an impactful and engaging experience for the participants. The mentors, with their expertise and empathy, fostered an environment where questions were encouraged, knowledge was shared, and barriers were broken down.
Join us in celebrating this milestone and becoming a part of our ongoing efforts to empower young women. Together, we can make a lasting impact and create a world where every adolescent girl thrives.
